This isn’t your typical path. I started in retail where I learned what brand was from a corporate perspective. I learned sales and upselling and how to reach margins for others.

This wasn’t by choice. I didn’t finish high school, nor go to university. I was stuck in jobs that I hated and in a life I hated. When I learned I could make money doing what I loved (teaching music) everything changed.

I worked in a music school/store, making more money than I ever had. I managed a small team and taught guitar lessons. And things were going so well until 2008. When the stock market crashed, so did my “dream job”. With a 2-year-old to care for I had to think fast.

That’s when it dawned on me that I could do this on my own. My wife and I brain stormed and in 2009, we opened our own music school.

It grew from 13 students to 200 and then to a second location. All with the help of the interenet and insane amounts of wanting to learn.

Now I share, help and nurture other business owners to do the same. Either grow from nothing, or push to another level they never thought they had.
