I have been selling and marketing my whole life. Sure, when I was 13 and sold my Sega Genesis for $315 to my friend Dean, I wasn't aware of "overcoming objections". Nor did I have a personal Brand (except for nicknames.)

And when I had my paper route and went door-to-door canvassing, it wasn't called "outreach" or prospecting. It was just a way to get more clients and earn more money.

However, through working endless jobs in half a dozen industries, I learned that there were themes and recurring methods to selling and marketing.

I learned Branding from the VP of sales at Vincor, the value of margins from the owner of a multi-million dollar music retail business and many other strategies and tactics from running and growing my own 6 figure business.

I use realistic goals, with simple language to help businesses get to the real reason they want to work with a marketer - to get sales.

Today, most marketers think it's about getting noticed. I think it's about having a seamless transition from each stage - Before, During and After.

Through 15 years of owning my own business, working for organizations like Digital Main Street, and Ontario Business Improvement Area Association, and being on the board of 2 BIAs (Hamilton and Toronto) I have learned, executed, failed at and tested countless ideas.

My love for marketing is equal to my love for music. And the 2 go hand-in-hand.
